Our annual Troop 1 ski trip is scheduled for Saturday, 2/9/2019 to Ski Butternut(SkiButternut.com) 380 State Rd , Rt. 23, Great Barrington, MA 01230
This area has a great beginners area and lessons and is perfect for scouts who have been skiing in the middle school program.
Families are welcome to join at the group rate. The troop (701) is registered under the scouts name in the group office for all season long, except for Presidents Day week end.
Cars can go directly up and pay at the group window separately since we don’t have to arrive all at once. Scouts that need rides can meet us at Parsons parking lot at 7:00AM
Please sign up at the meetings and let us know if you will need a ride ahead of time and so we know how many will be there for lunch.
Mr. Holvek and crew will be serving lunch provided by the Troop on the deck at the lodge.
The cost for lift ticket is $40.00, lessons are $25.00, and rental is $30.00
Bring a completed permission slip with parent contact information from troop web site
Bring the exact amount of cash for the lift, lesson and rental. They only take cash or credit card.
Those who want rentals at Butternut must go to SkiButternut.com to reserve, print and sign rental agreement to bring up. Troop leaders will be around to assist at rental but should not have to provide credit cards or driver licenses at rental area for scouts.
You can rent ahead of time at Rotary Ski Shop in Stratford .
Please remind your scouts to be careful of where he leaves his equipment so it isn’t lost or switched by mistake with another skier.
Helmets are required. Make sure your scout has a hat, gloves and warm clothing including socks.
